PET-TEK International LTD

Pet-Tek International Ltd was formed in 1999 by the two partners Steven King from a marketing back ground and Jim McNaught from an engineering background. The company was formed as a result of a request from Steven King, who ran a successful Glazing Supply business, to try to overcome the constant warranty issues he had to deal with in regard to broken flaps and other problems with pet doors in the marketplace at that time.  Steven made contact with Jim to produce a cat door that was more reliable than the units that were currently avaible. Jim, having analysed the areas causing the major problems, soon realised that better materials and design were required to solve the issues. Contact was then made with Bayer Material Science to provide a high impact material that would stand up to the rigours of animal use. Bayer Makrolon was recommended and is still used to this day. The company was then formed and the first door produced for the glazing industry which was an instant success. In late 2010 the King family purchased the McNaughts shares and the company is now run as a family business with a focus on quality products and superior service.  Pet-Tek International Ltd continues to develop its range of products which are exported worldwide.  Further new releases are due late 2011.

Research and Development

Innovation is the driving force behind Pet -Tek International Ltd. Its research dept has a team of highly motivated professionals in the fields of electronics and computer soft ware development, working closely with Marketing to create new and exciting products for the pet industry. The soon to be released Genius range with it pet tracking capabilities is a fine example of the work being carried out by this dept.

As our customers are becoming more selective and in tune with their animals needs, Our role in R&D’s is to develop a range of products to meet those needs and continue to monitor and adapt our products for the future. Pet-Tek’s objective is to simplify and improve the lives of both animals and their owners. The company has new products at varying phases of development at any given time.

The Ultra Intellingent Genius Range

The Pet-Tek Ultra range is a new generation of intelligent pet door which has multi - programmable functions that will keep all unwanted animals out. Its list of features will give the customer the ultimate in flexibility and full control of animal movements at all times. This door will soon be available with an additional pet tracking feature should your pet go missing. The hand held pet finder will be able to be purchased as an optional extra.
